Finding inspiration is always the key. I've been going back and forth trying to figure what I should do next and what feels right and what doesn't, to make sure the brand is presented in the right way. I think presentation is very important more to come this summer!

I was able to attend this event at the Apple store in Philly. Curran J and Seun Olubodon shared their stories of how they have used social media to connect with people, engage different groups online, and grow their brand. It was pretty good info that they shared and I just wanted to share a few points that I took away from the event.
I think the main thing is knowing that you have all these tools at your finger tips but are you using them to really connect with people. You should really use the internet as your own little army for your brand. I’ve been doing shirts for a while and I feel like I have a better brand than a lot of brands that I’ve seen who have more buzz than me (Believe in your brand ). But I think my main fault is that I haven’t made others fully believe in the brand. There are lots of ways to streamline your social media activities without having to physically make each individual post. So if you use Seemic or Hootsuite you can post when you are asleep.

Also just starting from where you are now. I think we say this is our dream or goal but "I can’t go hard at it until this happens or I get my money up"  so forth and so on. There is no greater time than the present. I believe we want this instant gratification when we start something and that is not always the case . Write down your goals and be realistic. Take little steps to get to the big goal.

Please Watch

This is a very interesting video but there are some questions I have after watching this video.

First if America only sent military ADVISERS how is KONY supposed to be captured? It would still be up to the Ugandan people to stop KONY. Also I understand that financial support is always needed for a cause to have a stronger impact but i'm not understanding what type of equipment is needed to find someone hiding in the jungle. How do you send military ADVISORS and not send any equipment with them. America does have somewhat of a problem finding individuals who don't function 100% off of modern technology.

Also the marketing campaign for this is something serious and its crazy that with movies like "invisible people" and Guess donating money towards the cause you would think more people would know of that some type of change had occurred but Kony has be doing this for 20+ years.

Truthfully I think this is a great cause but my main concern is that it somewhat looks like a what guy trying to save another African nation and the stereotype that Africa is the continent of poor people who cant save themselves. The only people who fully understand Africa and have the power to change Africa are the people who live in these nations!
